Can you hear it? Christmas is coming, sneaking up on us with signs and wonders and cooler weather.

I am so excited to share STAR OF WONDER!

This small advent devotional was a labor of love, born out of my delight in research, Christmas, and our Jewish roots of faith. It is now available, and I’ve just established a Facebook book discussion group to discuss each day’s reading with anyone who wants to participate. To join the group and read along, click the box below. We’ll begin on December first with the first reading.

STAR OF WONDER is not a typical devotional–it’s deep and profound and thought-provoking on purpose. I wanted to explore the way things really would have been during the Lord’s nativity, as well as all the ways His birth changed our world . . . and our lives. I wanted you to come away thinking, I didn’t know that! I’m hoping you’ll order the book and join us in the discussion. Anyone can post a comment or a question on any day, and we’ll enjoy the readings together.

Good news! I’ve just learned that Amazon is running a sale–buy one STAR OF WONDER and receive a second at half price! Perfect for gift-giving! Click on this link, then look for the little green box. I have no idea how long this sale will last, so order soon! You’ll want to have your book by December 1st.

Real Reader Reviews:

From Wren: “I absolutely love this rich and beautiful Advent devotional. It is a blessing to read–and you’ll feel that you know so much more about Jesus, His birth, and his family.”

From Blessed and Bookish: “Unlike many devotionals today, Star of Wonder takes you deep into the culture and history behind Scripture to help you understand the full Christmas story. I especially loved learning more about the Jewish culture and traditions working in the background. They help paint a rich landscape for a story I’ve known by heart most of my life. And yet my familiarity with the Christmas story didn’t make this devotional redundant. There is something meaningful in each entry no matter how many times you’ve read through the prophecy and history of Jesus’ birth and early life.”

From Yvette: “I love the idea of an Advent devotional, and the approach Angela Hunt takes to it in Star of Wonder is, well, wonderful.”

From Meagan: “Star of Wonder takes the reader into the little-known, forgotten truths of the First Christmas. Spend the days of December taking a new look at what the world Jesus was born into was really like.”

So mark your calendar, invite a friend, and let’s relive that first Christmas in a way that will make this holiday season come alive! I look forward to discussing the wonders of Christmas with you!
