Last night I went out with my camera to take pictures of the decorated homes in our neighborhood. I did this two years ago, and didn’t want to create another book of the same images, so I applied some filters to make things a little . . . different. I like the effect, and hope others will as well. It certainly brightened up what was a dark and cloudy night with nary a star in the sky–to my eye, anyway. The camera did spot a couple of stars in the east . . .
Here are a couple of the images–do you like the effect?
Don’t forget–NO MORE BROKEN PROMISES, the first book in the Cassie Perkins series (for girls ages 11-15) is free now in the Kindle edition. You can find it on Amazon.com.
And . . . . eight more days until my new puppy comes home. She can’t get here too soon–Babe has been moping around and I really worry about her. I never would have believed that she would miss Charley, but I think she does. We all do. I still can’t talk about his passing without choking up, but the new puppy will help with that. I don’t think I’ll have time to do much but chase her around.
Hope you are enjoying the season and getting lots of things done. Lately I can’t seem to find enough hours in the day.
What a beautiful neighborhood. I love the effect of the photos. They look like Christmas cards.
Lovely painterly effects on the photos—no offense, though, NEEDS SNOW! As I write I’m watching my skiing snow melt away in the rain. Also, I’m thrilled for you that you’re getting a puppy–it brings a little joy back to the house after the pain of losing a four-legged buddy.
Hi. Reminds me of childhood dreams. Living here in South Africa nearly at the southern most tip of Africa. Exept for the real reason for Christmas, nl Christ I love to look at Northern Hemisphere photos to get the Christmas feeling. Love It.
Love it! Those look like they should be in a storybook!
