If this is Friday, I’m flying out today and heading for Indiana and Taylor University, where I’ll be teaching a class on women’s fiction throughout the fall on sporadic Saturdays. I’m hoping for cooler weather. 🙂 .

Onto the news at hand: For some time now, our area has had a mystery monkey on the loose. He’s a rhesus macaque, but no one knows where he came from. Apparently, though, he’s lonely, and we’re all beginning to feel sorry for him. This photo was snapped this week–apparently the little guy found this mirrored cube and sat next to it for quite a while, thinking it was another monkey.

Our paper has even set up a website where you can report sightings of the money and back up your report with a photo.
I haven’t seen him yet. My neighborhood is very dense, and we don’t have a lot of trees or foliage for a monkey to hide in. No mirrored cubes, either.
But if you see him . . . well, you know what to do. 🙂

Our weather here in Northwest Indiana is beautiful today. Hope it’s the same where you’re headed.
