So I finally broke down and got an iPad. And I think I’m in love . . . and I didn’t expect to be.
So far, it does everything I want a laptop to do, only it’s a lot smaller. It reads books, it gets my email, it surfs the web. And yesterday I even made a completely FREE iPad to iPad phone call to my friend Terri in Mississippi–and it sounded like she was standing right next to me.
Yes, it plays music. Yes, I could write on it (with the wireless keyboard I already have). Yes, I can edit on it (though I haven’t tried this yet).
The only thing it doesn’t have–that my iPhone and computer DO have–is a camera. But I usually have the iPhone or the camera with me, so maybe that’s a moot point.
Mothers and Fathers, you may actually save yourself money if you get your kids an Ipad instead of a laptop . . . and they will only get better. (The iPads, not necessarily the kids).
