I love the British–even though I don’t always understand why they do the things they do.  Take a peek at this video of a cheese rolling event–this year’s, in fact, because this is an annual event.  Someone rolls a cheese down a hill, and everyone goes after it.  Why?  Who knows?

All I know is that some folks have to be carried away by the EMTs.  :-/
P.S.  There are no hills suitable for cheese rolling in Florida, I don’t think.  Surely this is a good thing.

It appears that this sport is best played after a particularly heavy rainfall. And, perhaps, a wee nip of something prior to the start is not a bad idea. A little wine with your cheese? Gotta love the Brits for finding yet another way to have fun! Clyde

ummm…what ever made you look for videos of cheese rolling???

Yet again proving that some people have more time than sense! Brings to mind the punkin-chunkin contests in the Northeast every fall.

I love the British, too and I mostly am one, I guess, so I totally understand why they do what they do 😉 Mostly.

I understand why they run down the hill – I don’t understand why they run up.

That was fun. I grinned through the whole thing.

Ummm, I guess after being cooped up all winter . . .

It does cause me to stop and be grateful for Florida’s beautiful weather.
