I just checked the hallmark web site, and I see that there will be other airings of THE NOTE, if you missed it.

The Note will also air (on the Hallmark channel) on Dec. 13th, nine p.m. EST
December 18th, 9 p.m. EST
And Dec. 25th, 7 p.m. EST.
Thank you for your many kind comments!  You all are the best!  I’ve felt like we’ve had a premier party–pretty good for a woman who watched the movie in her p.j’s!

The movie was wonderful, Angie. Yesterday I blogged, telling folks to watch it. Now that I know the encore dates, I can update my post to encourage more people to watch it–and of course to buy the book as well.

Oh, I just loved the movie. I didn’t think I would but I actually liked most of the changes made. I was really prepared to not like a male taking the place of the “witchy” TV reporter but in re-reading the book the other day, I don’t think her character would have come off just right on TV. Also I realized they had less than 2 hours to tell the story. Only two things I took offense at (well just mildly.) As someone else said there were a couple curse words or so. The other – and I think you probably need to be a Baptist to have caught it. I can’t remember just where but it was established in the movie that he was pastor of a little Baptist church. He said his own children had been christened in the church – as you know, we Baptists don’t christen our babies – we have baby dedications which is really more for the parents. Otherwise any changes that were different from the book really didn’t matter as far as the story goes and I think the changes made it flow better in the time limit of the movie.

I think it is a great movie for a family to watch together. I recommend it highly to one and all. Then, get the book and read it. I really liked the book better mostly because I’m a reader and not big on watching movies. I love to read and visualize the scenes in my mind. But this movie is one I will buy when it comes out on DVD just to have as a treasured keepsake.

Angie, so great! A lot of the Beth Yeshua crowd watched, too.

My husband sat through the whole movie and not only stayed awake (which is a major compliment), but he kept saying, “This is really good.” After the movie ended I explained the analogy and he did a wonderfully “unmanly” thing, he . . . well . . . you get the idea.

How exciting! Our Angie! When is the next movie??

Yay! I have more chances. I don’t know people here well enough to invite myself over, but maybe I’ll think of something.

I guess I’m the lone dissenter (sort of). I watched the movie Saturday night. I really liked the story, and I like the message a lot. I haven’t read the book, but could see Angie’s “style” throughout. However. . . I did not like Genie Francis in the lead role. I have watched her on and off since I was a kid (my mother was a huge General Hospital fan and I watched it with her after school and continued — was glued to my TV during the whole Luke and Laura thing back in 1980-81). I just don’t think she’s a very good actress; her delivery of lines seems stiff to me, just a recital of lines written by someone else rather than expressions of the heart as good actors can make it seem. (Yes, I know that’s an awkwardly written sentence but I need to get back to work!)

Nevertheless, I thought the movie was great and am so pleased that such a worthwhile story made it onto the screen. Well done, Angie.
