My goodness, LOL, I can’t believe I once wondered if I’d ever find anything to blog about. Right now my blog inbox is piled up with posts, and I keep thinking of more things to say! Important things!

But right now I have to tell you about Lizzie Higgs’ new book, MY HEART’S IN THE LOWLANDS. Liz feels about Scotland the same way I feel about Ireland . . . she adores it, and her adoration comes through in this delightfully uplifting book that makes you feel as though you and Liz are actually touring the highlands together. I smiled and ahhhhhed all theway through, and I know you will, too. So if you’ve some Scottish plaid in your background, or even if you haven’t, you’ll love this book.

(And aren’t Liz’s Scottish novels wonderful? She’s a master and truly one of the smartest, most delightful women I know.)

Best of all, Liz’s publisher is holding a contest. The winner gets a nine-day trip for two to Bonny Scotland! (I wonder if Liz is available to act as tour guide?) No purchase necessary.

To enter, send a postcard with your name, address, and phone number to:

WaterBrook Press

Attn: Bonny Scotland Giveaway

12265 Oracle Boulevard, Suite 200

Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Entries must be postmarked by April 30, 2007. Only one entry per person, please. (I’ve already entered myself, my mom, my SIL, and my daughter–in the hope, of course, that if they win, they’ll allow me to tag along and tote luggage.)

Angie, I’m going to be doing a radio interview with Liz about this book in the near future. I’ve interviewed her in the past, and it’s always been a complete joy! As for that contest…do you think media people can enter? That would be a dream come true for me.
