. . . for Johnny Hart, whose comic strip “B.C.” and “The Wizard of Id” (with Brandt Parker) often displayed his Christian faith in profound and original ways.

“He had a stroke,” his wife told the Associated Press. “He died at his storyboard.”

All in all, not a bad way to go. He will be missed.

Johnny Hart died Saturday at his home in New York. He was 76 . . . and still working.

BÇ is one of my favorite comic strips. When I get the Sunday paper, I tell my kids that “the funnies” are the most important part of the paper. In this life it is important for us to keep our sense of humour. Thanks Angie for honoring a worthy profession.

I loved BC, especially around Easter. He was quite profound. I am sad that he’s gone. But how cool for him to spend Easter in Heaven!

He will be missed. Jhonny Hart was my favorite comic strip writer. Isn’t it wonderful to know we’ll be able to spend eternity laughing with him.

    I love Kay’s comment.

    Our loss is his gain.

I loved Johnny Hart’s work, probably because my gram did and was always saving them for us to read. Thanks for the heads-up. Bless his heart.
